September Workshops

I hope you've enjoyed your summer!
I've had a bit of a rest but have filled my time doing a lot of art journaling, crocheting and turning my mess of a back yard into a garden...or "yarden" as my daughter calls it.
I'll add some photos to the end of this post so you can see what I've been up to.
This Friday, the 13th (lucky for all of you!!!) at 10am, sees the start of the Autumn Creative Workshops at Open Door Coffee House (we're having a break from The Baum for the time being as they start getting busy towards the end of the year).
We'll be doing a  bit of sewing this week.  As usual all crafting materials are provided for a small fee of £5.
Refreshments can be purchased from the Coffee House...who can resist their array of scrummy home baking?!
As promised, here are some photos of what I've been up to:
One of my art journals...totally therapeutic.  I'm hoping to run some whole day workshops later in the year on how to make your own art journal from scratch, creating backgrounds and how to get the most out of journaling.  Most importantly, anyone can do it!

A bunch of backgrounds, using torn paper, tissue paper, stamping, paint and gesso...and a cloth bird.

Our "yarden"...now a place of peace and tranquillity...almost!!!

Mixed media art journal page using one of the backgrounds from one of the pics above with handmade papers and simple biro doodles.  By request this will be one of the projects we will be doing at the Creative Workshops .
